Maybe… A Virgin Mobile Phone will work in Canada, but you will be responsible for roaming charges. Also many prepaid services do not allow roaming. So it’s better to ask Virgin Mobile. When you are on prepaid, your calling area is limited. With a contract, you are allowed to use the roaming agreements that your service provider has with international phone companies.

If you have a contract: yes
If you are going prepaid: maybe (call them)

The best thing is to go to canada, and get a prepaid plan from a local provider eg. Rodgers. Just buy a cheapo phone for $20-$30 dollars.

I took my Verizon and AT&T phone to Canada and they both worked fine. (Both are on contracts.)
