The bus would probably be the cheapest, next to driving. ( but then factor in the price of gas) It’s about 95 cents a litre here now. Toronto that is. But to tell you the truth the business flights you can get from NY to TO are really cheap. There is an airport in Hamilton Ontario as well, only a 30-45 minute drive to downtown TO there is also Waterloo Regional Airport probably a hour and a half to downtown TO. They might have cheaper flights coming in and out.

If you have a car drive. It’s only 8-9 hrs. Go up the 81 to Syracuse then west to Niagra Falls on the 90. Cross the boarder then take the 405 to the QEW and your there. Watch for the big tower you can’t miss it.

to the clowns who answered first…stick your heads where the sun don’t shine and breathe deep.
You probably could take Greyhound, which would take you to Toronto . Flying from NY to Toronto might be pricey . You could also try Am Trak and Via Rail.

Hello,
I agree with Lizzy, train or bus are good options.
Go to AmTrak or Via Rail websites and check for the fares. Try to book well in advance to get better prices and also watch for specials or discounts. Same applies for Greyhound, in case you choose to travel by bus.
Best of luck.

Greyhound bus is probably your best option.
If you are the sort of person who feels comfortable hitching that may be an option, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
I often see ads in newspapers looking for someone to share expenses on a driving trip so that might be an option, but again might not be one I would use in NY.
