For Germany, “Goodbye Lenin” or “Das Leben der Anderen” aka “The Lives of Others” (really great movies about the former separation of East and West and the reunification).
For Denmark, how about some of the masterpieces of controversial Danish director Lars von Trier, like “Dogville”?
As regards Spain, you should go for some Pedro Almodovar, e.g. “Volver” or “Talk to Her”.
Another beautiful French movie is “Un long dimanche de fiançailles” aka “A Very Long Engagement”, with Audrey Tatou from “Amelie”.
And England has brought forth some masterpieces in the last years….If you also want some input on life in England and some food for thought, check out movies like “This is England”. A more lighthearted classic would be “The Full Monty”. For some classic British humor you should watch some Monty Python (e.g. “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”).
Hope this appeals to you!

“If it is Tuesday today, we must in Belgium”. The movie is bit old(1970?) but excellent for American and Japan tourists coming to Europe.
