I don’t know if are there any international trains from Brasov (Transylvania’s most important city) to Croatia or Greece. I think there are just flights and only from Bucharest. Bucharest is 2.5 hrs away from Brasov (by car).

Why don’t you go to Greece in this way: Romania-Bulgaria-Greece ? Or by bus ? From Romania I think that there’s a bus directly to Greece going through Bulgaria. Time needed should be about 7-8 hours from Transylvania to Athens (if the bus’s speed is 100km per hour).
PS:I’m suggesting you to pass through Bulgaria because it’s part of the EU and you won’t have any problems on the border.
