Hi there, I think that summer time is a great time to go be in Paris if you don’t mind the crowds. The weather is really warm in July. I think that you should stay at a budget hotel to get a bang for your buck. You should check out hostelworld.com (it’s not just for hostels, they have hotels there too).

The ritzy area is near champs elysses and the artsy area is montramare.

You might want to look into this one: Hotel Yllen Eiffel

I was a budget traveler, so I can’t give you too much advice on beautiful places to stay. You can check around on review websites. I think that you should bring as much money as you feel comfortable with so you don’t have to exchange too much while you’re there. I’d say no more than $500. You can bring as little as money for cab fare, food for dinner, and subway fare. Pickpocketers heavily populate the subways, so be careful not to have too much money on you. I think it was worth making stops at ATMs. You may want to get a money belt instead of carrying a purse. It really ruins a trip when you get pickpocketed. ANy hotel you choose, you should find one near a subway station. The subway will take you anywhere you want to go in paris.

Oh there are so many places to see: sacre couer, eiffel tower, palace of versaille, notre dame. Ask me anything else, it was one of my favorite places in Europe.

    Have fun!

May is a little rainy, but sometimes we have sunny days, prefer june or july (august every french is in vacation).

hotels depends of your budget, you have hotel de crillon to give a name of your husband’s dream (1200€/night) the most beautifull palace in the world ! And so french!
if you have the budget, you can rent only the first night, it’ll be the night of your life!
otherwise, hotel acacias saint germain a 3 stars for 110€ a night with a garden.

If you wanna make shopping, 300$/day
    just eating, diners and museums…200$/day

    7 days is ok.

first class is very expensive, but with airfrance, you have a special class from new york newark called “l’avion” wich is around 1200€( it’s between 1st and economic class, specific in airfrance only)

    for better places:
st germain and “le marais” the gay quarter which is the most beautifull and safe place in paris near “hotel de ville” and “notre dame”

    have a great time !
