Anybody got any great places to visit in portugal?

In 2 weeks I am travelling down to Portugal across the northern coast of Spain then down. I am taking windsurf and kite-surf kit and am hoping to discover some great beaches/locations but would also like to explore a bit inland and discover more about these incredible countries. Has anybody done something similar or been to any unmissable places along the way? Please share the secret spots!! Cheers.

I loved Portugal. Just walking around the cities is lovely – be sure to stop in Oporto (Porto, in Spanish and Portuguese) and in Lisbon (Lisboa). Go to a port tasting in Oporto, walk around the Lisbon city centre.

I’ve been to Portugal a couple of times already. We always visited the northern part. (Porto, Lisbon and everything in between) Any tips that I could give you… Euhm. Coïmbra is a nice city. And if you want to go the popular-beach-resort-tour I’d recommend Cascais. For the rest, there is this middle-aged touristic but cute city Obidos, a 20 km from the sea & we’ve had really good experiences with typical cheap Portuguese (fish)restaurants. You should really try that. And then (it’s really typical touristic again but unmissable) there is this rock ‘Cabo da Roca’, that’s the furthest point western of the European continent. When you visit that, you get this certificate and stuff ^^. Anyways, enjoy your holiday
