in istanbul,undoubtedly the best place for buying rug/carpet is Sultanahmet.it can be a bit pricey but it really worths.while wandering on the streets of Sultanahmet,you will be surrendered by the mystical sounds coming from the shops.you won’t be disappointed.Actually istanbul is not a city of wines,you can only get it from markets but if you have time and looking for the best wines of turkey you should go to sirince which is a small and lovely village of izmir.sirince is famous for its delicious and unique wines.have a nice trip…i hope you will be satisfied with my help

You will be offered a plethora of carpets wherever you are in Istanbul, particularly in and around Sultan Ahmet district (near the Blue Mosque) and the Grand Bazaar. Look in more than one shop before you buy, compare prices, and BARGAIN – you will be able to reduce the price by 25-35% easily.
Tansas supermarkets stock a wide selection of wines. Those produced by the SEVILEN company are generally of high quality for the price. KAVAKLIDERE and TELLIBAG are also OK. (These are company names – they produce a variety of different wines at all prices).
Enjoy your stay, Istanbul is a magical city.

would recommend Arasta Bazaar at Sultanahmet for the rugs and carpets.
Regarding the wine;
Kavaklidere Selection : Produced by Okuzgoze and Bogazkere grapes. The combination develops when it is aged in the bottle. If you like merlot, then you will like the taste of it.
You can find it and many other wines in the supermarkets like Migros, Carrefour, Tansas..

You can find carpets every where. But If the seller says 1000 $ pay him 650 $ .
